- Ah... But I don't really like this Jadzia Sto-vo-kor mission plotline. Sets up one of the more annoying plotlines in season 7 and it's just kinda boring in this episode! That said, I like the fascinating metaphysics of Worf believing that "Jadzia Dax" has died and is capable of getting into Sto-vo-kor, even while the Dax symbiont lives on and with Jadzia being not Klingon.
- Aww, I love this Siskos family space trip. Amazing. Joseph being a grumpy old man and the conversation between Ezri and Jake!
- I also love the little Starfleet desert uniforms with the division color stripe! Cute.
- I also love Weyoun and Damar's interactions. I feel like they're pretty shippy here with Weyoun throwing the stink eye at Damar's female companion lol.
- I like Martok being the chill one here and like, "What's wrong, Worf? It's an honor to have Jadzia's friends here."
- "Take me out of the oven, Moogie." -- lol, Quark does have nice lines in this one.
- Lots of fancy CG here -- showing off a bigger effects budget?
- Okay, it's kind of heavy-handed/manipulative, but I do like the last shot of Ezri looking like she's back home aboard DS9. The feels ðŸ˜
This episode is okay -- I think it suffers a bit from having TWO plotlines that are just kinda boring (the Kira vs. Romulans plotline and the Rotarran plotline). The Sisko plotline is pretty fun, though. And it's fun seeing Casey Biggs out of prosthetics in this one!
Thoughts on Quodo potential:
Oh boy, I'm a bit stumped. This season is kinda bleak for Quodo, but I guess you could have Quark jealous at Odo going with Kira, and meanwhile Odo jealous at Quark going off to honor Jadzia. Both of them trying to convince the other not to do it and not because they're worried about them dying or anything, b-baka. IDK, help! XD
