Planning for Quodo Mini-fest III

Hi everyone! I'm thinking about the next Quodo Mini-fest, and I was wondering if people would like a new format to the event rather than an exchange. I'm very happy to run it as an exchange again but let me know if you would be interested in changing it up.

Option A: Keep it an exchange
Quodo Mini-fest III would be run the same as the previous two fests. Everyone is assigned to create for a specific person. Low pressure -- you can drop out at any time and someone will make something for your recipient. Pros: Hard deadlines/specific assignment, and everyone is guaranteed a present. Easy for me to run. Cons: Hard deadlines and maybe a bit repetitive?

Option B: Prompt meme
In this one, people can leave prompts (as general or as specific and detailed as they like). Others browse the prompts and choose which ones to fill. All works are submitted to the collection and revealed on a specific day. Pros: People have more flexibility about choosing what prompts they want to work toward. People with lots of ideas can leave as many hyper-specific prompts as they like. Cons: People are not guaranteed gifts. A lack of a specific assignment may not be motivating (but is lower-pressure). Dependent on the fact that people DO leave prompts.

Option C: Mini-bang
The purpose of a bang is to push people to make something a bit bigger and more ambitious than they have in the past. Since this is the mini-fest, though, it would be a mini-bang with a fairly low minimum (around 5k for fic and an elaborate art piece or comic for art, although people would be free to sign-up/commit to something longer if that would be helpful to them). In this case, because the minimum effort needed is higher, the work period would be longer than the Quodo Mini-fest has been in the past (probably around 3 months or so as opposed to the < 1 month it has been). Bangs usually involve anyone who finishes getting art made by someone else; to be honest, though, I don't think I could manage arranging the logistics of this, so that would not be an element of the mini-bang if we go this direction. Pros: People can use the event to push forward bigger projects they would like to finish. Flexible in terms of topic and commitment. Cons: No guaranteed prompts to work off of. More modding work because I would need to make sure people are regularly checking in.

Option D: Ship week
In this option, instead of user-submitted prompts (as in Option B), I would come up with a set of 7 prompts distributed over a specific posting week (February 8-14, say). People then create a work for any of the prompts they are inspired by and post it publicly on the appropriate day. Pros: Low pressure and flexible in terms of commitment. Open-ended prompts. Easy for me to run. Cons: A lack of a specific commitment may not be motivating (but is lower-pressure).

If you have any other suggestions, feel free to let me know, either in the poll or a comment.

Finally, I'm also interested if the timeline works for people. By default, I will run the event to coincide with Valentine's Day as it has been in previous years (adjusted to have an earlier start/longer creation period if doing the mini-bang format). However, I could also run it earlier as a Christmas time event or later in the spring, if that's more convenient.
