Format, schedule, and community for Quodo Mini-fest III
Hi all, the results of the poll indicated that the exchange format was the most popular option, and that the Valentine's Day timeframe works for people, so I'm very pleased to announce that Quodo Mini-fest III will run as usual!
Like last year, I will be hand-matching and giving people new creators and recipients than they've had in previous years to keep things fresh!
Changes for this year:
The main two things to announce are:
(1) I've shifted the schedule a bit this year to make sign-ups a bit shorter and the creation period a bit longer. This is because there weren't too many last-minute sign-ups last year so I think we can afford to make the sign-up period shorter, which gives a bit more time to create!
Sign-ups: 1-10 Jan
Assignments go out the next day
Works due: 10 Feb
Work reveals: 14 Feb (Valentine's Day)
(2) It's a bit early but I've already made an AO3 Collection for this event. The reason why it's so early is because I have added anew rule couple of new rules regarding "Do Not Match" requests and kink-shaming (see: "Instructions for participating: Signing up", the FAQ, and the "Rules" section at the bottom of the AO3 page), and I wanted to give people the chance to familiarize themselves with the new information. Shouldn't be a big change, but I just wanted to clarify that this is a non-kinkshaming event/space and to let people know that avoiding being matched to specific people is an option.
